National Park Week: Plan your next epic family trip

Hey Reader,

When my kids hit their teen years, I wasn’t sure if our family adventures were going to survive.

Suddenly, sports schedules, friend hangouts, and opinions (so many opinions) took over. But we found our sweet spot—and it was between trail markers, waterfall lookouts, and late-night s’mores at a national park.

National parks became our reset button.

And this week? It’s National Park Week. Which, fortunately, is item number one on the list of things that make planning your next family trip a no-brainer.

If you’re craving time together that doesn’t involve devices or carpooling across town, these are for you:

🗺️ Here are the best national parks to visit with teens
🚗 Want to road trip through Alaska’s wild parks?
🌲 Or soak up California’s iconic scenery from your car?
🏞️ Here’s how to travel from Sequoia to Yosemite like a pro
📅 And everything you need to know about National Park Week

You don’t have to plan the whole thing today.
But if you need a sign that it’s time to start, this is it.

Whether you’re trying to steal a weekend away or map out a big summer adventure, these guides will help you skip the stress and get straight to the good stuff.

Catch you on the trail,

Tonya

P.S. Got a teen who’s not super into hiking? I’ve got tips for that too in the first post 😉

Hey Reader, So I’m mapping out the next destination guide and realized…I don’t want to decide this one alone. You’re the one planning real trips with real teens—and honestly, no one knows better what you need than you. So let’s make it fun. Will you help me pick what to focus on next? Here are the top 3 I’ve narrowed it down to: Arizona – Red rocks, desert hikes, and one unforgettable road trip route. Michigan – Small towns, freshwater beaches, and just enough outdoors to keep teens off their...

Hey there, Reader! The freedom to explore, time to connect, and the chance to actually enjoy the journey. That’s why I created something new:USA Road Tripping —a resource built for families (like mine and maybe yours!) who want to hit the road without hitting a wall trying to plan it all. Here’s...
